We were alert by one of our readers that there was a Video posted on Youtube, a young asian man being assault by 7 people behind Chicago elementary (unconfirmed on location) we hope authorities are alerted immediately on this incident and bring these people to justice.
In most cases I would call this a hate crime seeing the unmasked person as a white male. However while we look closely we can also catch a glimpse of other attackers who look asian too. What a sad world.
White men hate women. All women, Black, Yellow, Brown, Red, White. White men aren’t interested in sex, they are addicted to power. Sex is a power trip for the white man. He needs the woman to be hurt, humiliated, broken. He feeds off female suffering. That is why white men have went so batshit insane over the modest gains of white feminism. That is why he used to have Jungle Fever for Sally Helms, but now finds Black women manly and unfeminine.
The one race of women, that white men supposedly promotes feminism for is Asian women. What does feminism mean for Asian women? Obeying and serving her white colonial masters. That is a feminism the white man can get behind.

CCNC and CCNCTO and a number of community organizations met with Maclean’s on November 12th and again on November 17th for hour each time. Maclean’s had offered to publish a letter from CCNC in a future edition. CCNC and CCNCTO, after consulting with various community organizations responded with a 4 point proposal:

I am beginning to think that racism and racial hatred cannot be abolished. I used to think we could. I treat others well, I respect others, and living here in Vancouver, I was confident that here we tend to look past the colour of one’s skin.
Now, I am fighting against racism as I experienced it in Vegas. But fighting racism once you experience it so blatantly is more difficult since your sense of objectivism and your ability to identify what is right and wrong and your ability to move past bad experiences become very very limited.
Korean singer Park Jae-beom, former leader of popular boy band 2PM, has signed with U.S. online media company Digital Media Wire (DMW) to manage his career.
DMW announced on its official website (www.dmwmedia.com) Friday (U.S. time) that its CEO and entertainment lawyer Ned Sherman will be "representing artist Jay Park with respect to his global entertainment career."

In this new year of 2010 I hope everyone can continue to be optimistic as this ever struggling economy still has a heart beat, although we have been told our economies have recovered our wages are still just as terrible ( I think not ). There is still no excuse for not making the best of what we have and we should continue to strive for new heights.
In the past, this website had primarily worked on with publishing Asian related content, intelligent opinions, informative articles and any positive Asian media.
This year there will be a slight adjustment to the style of posting, usually we would publish news without actual commentary but as of today we will be adding in our 2 cents worth to everything post. The first fear mongering article I've come across since the beginning of this new year sums up all the forecasts of "experts" panic stricken and fear mongering media who can only see this world burning in hell.
Trevor Middleton, 23, of Sutton, was convicted Dec. 15 in a Newmarket court of four counts of aggravated assault and two counts of criminal negligence causing bodily harm.
Middleton had been charged with trying to run Liu's Honda off the road, not for the dunking of Liu and Hogan.
The incident on the Mossington Park Bridge is an extreme example of attacks and harassment that have been inflicted scores of times in the past few years on Asian fishermen in the Greater Toronto Area. It has become so common that the attacks have nicknames by some Georgina Township locals: "nip-tipping" and "nipper-tipping."
What's unique about the attack on Liu and Hogan – apart from the near-fatal and crippling injury to Berwick – is the huge attention it has garnered from Asian community leaders, activists and media members.
Some thing's are better as never said and when words are spoken people should be accountable for what they say. Given that as responsibility, it could also be seen at another angle that there is also the responsibility for not saying what needs to be said.
Much could be said about the media little racist scheme during the U.S president's visit to China to improve economic ties and collaboration between the U.S and China.

Firstly the white media tried painting China as anti-black racists and claims China disliked "chocolate coloured skin". Asian Canadian activists called on Wednesday for a tough sentencing against a Georgina, Ont., man convicted in a racially motivated incident against Asian fishermen.

“What Mr. Middleton and his friends consider as a prank was in fact an outright racist act with an equally racist label, namely, nippertipping,” said Avvy Go, director of the Metro Toronto Chinese and Southeast Asian Legal Clinic. The term is racist slang for pushing Asian Canadian anglers into the water.
“It is a practice that has been going on for a number of years, affecting countless number of Asian Canadian fishermen who are subject to similar attacks for no reason other than their race.”
To the people who thought racism was a thing of the past and no longer exists in the 21st century.... you are dead wrong. Some of us probably live in the nicer places in the country with some good multicultural friends but the people in the next town/city may not be so friendly.
To all my other dearest Asian Brothers, Sisters, Families, Civil Rights Advocacy groups, Asian Activists in western countries. We know racism is very much alive and it comes in all shapes and forms in mainstream society.
While we continue to experience it's reoccurring unpleasantness and Deja Vu's, I am all convinced we are still living as second class citizens and are still sunjected to different forms of racial oppression.

When you think of an angry Asian man, the image of a ninja wielding formidable weapons comes to mind. The stereotype isn’t far from the mark when you visit “Angry Asian Man,” a blog run by University of California, Berkeley alumnus Phil Yu.
“The name of my blog is provocative and scary,” said Yu. “It’s different from most people’s idea of what an Asian person is supposed to be. Most Asians in this country are not seen as people who are willing to rock the boat. We’re seen as meek people who just let things slide, but that’s not true at all.”
At a panel in the Texas Union on Thursday, Yu and Nhi Lieu, a UT American studies professor discussed Asian-American media representation and identity in America, as well as the influence of Yu’s blog on the Asian-American community.
We all know her story. She was a beautiful, bright 24-year-old graduate student in Yale's pharmacology department who went missing just four days shy of her wedding. Her body was found on what was to be her wedding day hidden behind a wall in her laboratory, a Yale building at 10 Amistad Road in New Haven. A few days later, a 24-year-old animal technician who also worked at her laboratory was arrested for her murder.
I first read about her in The New York Times in my apartment in Manhattan. Across the globe, my brother read about her on Bloomberg News in his office in Hong Kong. We felt the pain and horror of her death and of the tragedy facing her family.
Annie Le was also Asian-American. As her story appeared all over the Internet and on 24-hour news updates, blogs, commentaries, Facebook and Twitter posts, the fact that she was an Asian-American female was to become an important part of her narrative, speaking to uniquely American anxieties about sex, violence, gender and race.
The Asian Pacific American Legal Center (APALC) and Asian American Justice Center (AAJC) applaud President Obama for signing the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr., Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009. The new law expands the federal definition of a hate crime – which currently covers attacks motivated by race, color, religion or national origin – to include gender, disability, sexual orientation and gender identity.
The bill also provides the U.S. Department of Justice with the ability to aid state and local jurisdictions in investigations and prosecutions of hate-motivated violent crimes.

Ontario - A 12-year-old boy is facing an assault charge over allegations he pushed an Asian-Canadian angler off a bridge.
The incident occurred on Friday at about 2:30 p.m. at Canal Lake near Bolsover, which is about 30 kilometres northwest of Lindsay in the Kawartha Lakes district, the OPP said in a news release issued Monday.
"The investigation revealed that a 46-year-old Asian Canadian male from Toronto, Ontario was fishing from a bridge located on Canal Lake when a male youth walked up behind the victim and pushed him off the bridge. The victim fell approximately five feet into the water below. The victim did not suffer any injuries," it said.
The youth is to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on Sept. 22 in Lindsay.
No allegations against the youth have been proven in a court of law.
The issue of attacks on Asian anglers reached a head in 2007, with the Ontario Human Rights Commission releasing findings of a report in May 2008.
Los Angeles - A scene from Jeremy Piven's new comedy "The Goods" has incensed Asian Americans, who find the beating of Ken Jeong's character frighteningly reminiscent of real violence perpetrated against Asian Americans.
"MANAA contacted Paramount to request a chance to screen the film. We tried to give them the benefit of the doubt that seeing the whole movie could somehow salvage this scene. But we received no response," said Phil Lee, President of the Media Action Network for Asian Americans.
NICHIBEI - The Nichi Bei Times’ board of directors has decided to close Northern California’s oldest
Japanese American newspaper on Sept. 30 of this year after 63 years of business. In its place, a group of Nichi Bei Times staff and community members plan to start the Nichi Bei Foundation, a separate nonprofit reincarnation of the paper.
Kenji G. Taguma, the Nichi Bei Times’ vice president and English edition editor, has pioneered plans for the new Foundation because he believes the paper is an essential voice for Japanese Americans.
“Today, I see the paper as the glue that holds the community together,” Taguma said.
Decline in circulation and advertisements were chief reasons for the decision to close the Nichi Bei Times, said Ken Abiko, board chair of the paper, whose circulation base of around 8,000 includes primarily Northern California readers.
Xinhua News - The newly published textbook spotlights the often-unsung role of Asian Americans in U.S. civil rights history, one of the authors says.
"Untold Civil Rights Stories: Asian Americans Speak Out for Justice," published Wednesday, was a joint effort of the Asian Pacific American Legal Center and the Asian American Studies Center at the University of California, Los Angeles.
The textbook is the first that focuses on the role of Asian Americans in the civil rights and social justice struggles, before and after 9-11.
Profiled in the book, among others, are Philip Vera Cruz, Lily Chin, the Ileto family, Beulah Kwoh, K.W. Lee, Fred Korematsu, Faustino Baclig, and Amric Singh Rathour.
The textbook was edited by Stewart Kwoh, APALC's president and executive director, and Russell C. Leong, an Asian American studies professor at UCLA.
Sacramento Bee - I was having a conversation with a high-ranking UC administrator about a proposal he was developing to increase "diversity" at UC within the dictates of California's Constitution and the prohibition against race, gender and ethnic preferences.
I asked him why he considered it important to tinker with admissions instead of just letting the chips fall where they may. In an unguarded moment, he told me that unless the university took steps to "guide" admissions decisions, UC would be dominated by Asians. When I asked, "What would be wrong with that?" I got an answer that speaks volumes about the underlying philosophy at many universities with regard to Asian enrollment.
One of the dumbest things you can do is pay to be insulted, yet many Asians and Asian Americans do it on a regular basis. Both Asians and Asian Americans indiscriminately pay to see movies. Movies that constantly depict them in stereotypical roles, martial arts masters, accented untrustworthy foreigners, sneaky dragon ladies, terrorists, or evil gangsters, exotic, submissive sex objects, asexual, or chauvinistic Asian men and Asian women who exclusively date White/Black men (as depicted in media), or who are oppressed.
